Complete solar PV solutions
Net Billing
You generate your own energy; the surplus is sold to the grid and its value is credited against your bill. The most widely used solution for homes and businesses today.

Design
We analyse your consumption and design the optimal system: capacity, equipment, layout and generation estimate, with a full energy study by an engineer.
Net Billing, Zero Feed-In or off-grid?
| Net Billing | Zero Feed-In | Off-Grid | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grid connection | Yes, with credit offsetting | Yes, without export | No — fully off-grid |
| Surplus energy | Credited in value | Limited by the inverter | Stored in batteries |
| Batteries | Optional | Recommended | Essential |
| Permitting | Application to the operator (ΔΕΔΔΗΕ) | Simpler, where applicable | No connection application |
| Best suited to | Homes & businesses with steady consumption | Businesses consuming during generation hours, or on a saturated grid | Holiday homes, farms, locations with no grid |

Installations that speak for themselves
What they say about us
“From the first survey through to grid connection, everything happened exactly when they said it would. Our electricity bill dropped dramatically from the very first month.”
“They took on all the permitting for our workshop. Real professionals — transparent pricing and a flawless installation in a working facility.”
“Our holiday house in the Cyclades is now fully self-sufficient. A serious load study, quality batteries, and support even from a distance.”
“They proposed Zero Feed-In because the local grid was saturated — a solution nobody else had mentioned to us. Excellent technical knowledge.”
Everything you want to know about solar
How much does a solar installation in Athens cost?
The cost depends on system capacity, the equipment (panels, inverter, battery), the roof type and the grid connection works. Because every project differs, we offer a free technical survey and an itemised quotation with no obligation.
What is Net Billing and how does it benefit me?
Net Billing is the current self-consumption scheme in Greece. You consume the energy you generate directly, while the surplus exported to the grid is credited in value against the energy you draw. This substantially reduces your electricity bill, especially when your consumption coincides with generation hours.
How long do permitting and installation take?
For residential self-consumption systems the process with the grid operator is usually short, while for larger commercial projects it depends on the available grid capacity. The installation itself typically takes 1–3 days for residential projects. We handle the entire process and keep you informed at every stage.
Do I need a battery with my solar system?
A battery raises your self-consumption share — you store midday generation and use it in the evening — and provides backup during outages. It is essential for off-grid systems, recommended for Zero Feed-In, and significantly improves investment returns under Net Billing.
How much energy does a solar system produce in Attica?
In Attica each installed kWp yields roughly 1,400–1,500 kWh per year, depending on orientation, tilt and shading. A typical 5 kWp residential system therefore generates around 7,000 kWh annually — about the consumption of an average home.
What maintenance does a solar system need?
Very little: periodic panel cleaning, visual and electrical inspection, and performance tracking through monitoring. Fotergeia offers maintenance plans and after-sales support so your system performs at its best for 25+ years.
