1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let the site “remember” your choices — for example your cookie consent — and, where you have consented, collect usage statistics. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) are treated the same way under this policy.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Essential cookies
ALWAYS ONRequired for the basic operation of the site and cannot be switched off. They include storing your cookie choice so you are not asked again on every visit, plus technical cookies for security and load balancing. They are not used for advertising or profiling.
Analytics cookies
WITH CONSENTThese help us understand how the site is used: which pages are read most, where visitors come from, and where they leave. We use Google Analytics. The data is used in aggregate and lets us improve our content — for example the technical guides on Net Billing and Zero Feed-In.
Advertising cookies
WITH CONSENTUsed to measure how well our campaigns perform and to show more relevant ads through Google Ads. They let us, for example, avoid showing ads to people who have already requested a quote. If you do not consent, they are never activated.

This table is indicative of the categories we use. Names and durations are set by the tool providers and may change; we update this page whenever something material changes.
4. Giving & withdrawing consent
On your first visit a banner appears with three options: Accept all, Reject all or Settings, where you choose analytics and advertising separately. Until you choose, only essential cookies run — the default is refusal.
You can change your decision at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
Technical note: this site uses Google Consent Mode. Google tools are automatically informed of your choice and store no analytics or advertising data for as long as you have not consented.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
Regardless of your choices here, you can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the site work, such as saving your preferences.
6. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party providers, such as Google for analytics and advertising and the map services embedded on our Contact page. These providers process data under their own privacy policies, which we recommend you read. We have no access to or control over the cookies they set beyond the consent signal we pass to them.
7. Relationship with the Privacy Policy
This policy complements our Privacy Policy, which sets out in detail the data we process, the legal bases, retention periods and your rights under the GDPR.
